Fiscal Update - Fall 2007
The Parkland College Foundation would like to take a moment to update you of its fiscal status as well as to thank you for your generous support throughout the years. We have always been able to depend on the community's assistance in raising funds for scholarships, new campus facilities, and program improvements.
- As of June 30, 2007, the Foundation’s total assets amounted to $5,678,999.
- Since January 1, 2007, the Foundation has raised the following funds for the college:
$655,000 Annual Campaign (thank you!)
$2,950 Arbor Day
$40,000 Gala Event
$14,000 2006 Golf Outing
- In academic year 2006-2007, the Foundation awarded 241 scholarships totaling $182,761 to 207 deserving students.
- One of our most recent capital projects, the new greenhouse located west of the Tony Noel Agricultural Technology Applications Center, is now operational. We would like to thank Business and Agri-Industries Director Bruce Henrikson and the faculty and staff who supported the greenhouse’s construction. All expenses for the greenhouse have been paid to date; additional funds from the Dickson estate will be distributed shortly to pay for any remaining expenses on the project.
