When applying, make sure you know whether we consider you in-district or out-of-district; this will be important later.
- Have your transcripts mailed.
- Wait for your letter of acceptance -
allow about 2 weeks.
- Complete all necessary assessment
tests for course-level
placement.
- Complete the orientation at www.parkland.edu/getstarted if:
• You're a new student (never attended college before);
• You're a returning student (previously attended Parkland) with fewer than 15 college credit hours on record;
• You're a transfer student (attended another college or university) transferring fewer than 15 college credit hours to Parkland;
• You've previously attended a full SOAR session at Parkland.
- Attend an academic advising meeting in room A251 if:
• You're a returning student (previously at Parkland) with 15 or more completed credit hours on record
• You're a transfer student (attended another college or university) transferring 15 or more college credit hours to Parkland.
- Register for classes.
- Pay the bill.
- Activate your free student email account.
- Get your student ID in room X160.
