Faculty/Staff Online FERPA training
To be allowed to access student records using the SIS system, you must carefully review the material presented in this site. Maintaining confidentiality of student records is everyone's responsibility whether you are faculty, staff or student.
Why?
Because it's a Federal law.
This tutorial is designed to give you a basic knowledge of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA). Also known as the "Buckley Amendment", this law governs the release of student information.
